RE:              Preseason Domoic Acid Testing Results

The Oregon Department of Agriculture analyzed viscera from Oregon Dungeness crabs the week beginning November 13, 2007.  Samples were collected at
Sister Rock, Cascade Head, and Pistol River.  All samples were found to be below the requisite standard for crab viscera of 30 parts per million.

Please include this official notice with your HACCP plan as verification that crabs harvested from the Oregon coast are harvested from approved waters.  This verification will be valid until further notice.  The Oregon Department of Agriculture will monitor biotoxin levels in Oregon waters and conduct further sampling as needed.  A second test for Domioc Acid is scheduled for
January 2008.

Thank you for your attention to this matter.
